Considering the harmful effects of money laundering on the economic, political and even cultural situation in Iran and the need to combat this ominous phenomenon, the present study was conducted to investigate the effect of information transparency on reducing corruption and money laundering in Bank Mellat in Tehran. The method of this research was descriptive survey. The statistical population of the study includes all employees of Bank Mellat in Tehran, about 2718 people. The statistical sample of this study was selected using two-stage cluster sampling method with 337 people. Hamzeh Gorgani (2016) and Shateri (2014) questionnaires were used to collect information. The collected data were also analyzed using SmartPLS structural equations. The results showed that information transparency has a positive and significant effect on reducing corruption and money laundering (P <0.001). Accountability and control also have a significant effect on corruption and money laundering (P <0.001). Therefore, transparency of information and accountability has led to an increase in the level of control in Bank Mellat and can ultimately be very effective in reducing corruption and money laundering in Bank Mellat. |
