In our country, privatization was introduced at the same time with the beginning of the first economic, social and cultural development program of the country in 1989, with the aim of improving the efficiency of activities and reducing the volume of government ownership by entrusting economic activities to the free market mechanism. The new public management, by taking advantage of the principles of private sector management, has promised greater effectiveness and productivity, better accountability, and the realization of more liberal values; But many of these promises did not materialize. Employees are also opposed privatization due to increased layoffs and reduced wages. Therefore, the purpose of this article is to review the new public management and privatization politic. This article also examines the factors affecting the complete failure of the implementation of privatization politic. The results of various researches show that the challenges of privatization include widening the class gap, increasing economic corruption, weakening political accountability, excessive adjustment of manpower and lack of moral commitment to job security of employees.
